Passo Cereda e Forcella Aurine

Partiamo da San Martino di Castrozza per questo impegnativo tour. Raggiungiamo facilmente Fiera di Primiero. Percorriamo la strada che corre a fianco del torrente Canali, superato il torrente ha inizio la parte più difficile di passo Cereda: due ripidi tornanti e la strada risale nel rado bosco dal quale si intravedono i ruderi della rocca di Castelpietra. Le pendenze sono impegnative. Superiamo un ponticello e affrontiamo la parte conclusiva della salita: ci attendono 6 tornanti sinuosi, dove le pendenze diventano decisamente abbordabili. E' questa la parte più bella dell'ascesa poichè la valle si apre all'improvviso, punteggiata da belle malghe e pascoli curatissimi ai margini di una fittissima pineta che ricopre le pendici della montagna: senza eccessive difficoltà giungiamo infine al valico dove sorge un accogliente rifugio. Il primo tratto di discesa è molto ripido e la strada è piuttosto stretta: giunti a Mis si affrontano diversi tratti in contropendenza prima di Gosaldo da cui si attacca il facile valico di Forcelle Aurine dal quale, con una veloce discesa, arriviamo ad Agordo per concludere la corsa.
We start from San Martino di Castrozza for this demanding tour. Easily reach Fiera di Primiero. We drive along the road that runs alongside the river Canali. After passed the river the hardest part of passo Cereda begins: two steep hairpin bends and the road back in sparse forest from which one can see the ruins of the fortress Castelpietra. The slopes are challenging. We pass a bridge and we face the final part of the climb: 6 sinuous bends wait us, where the slopes become very affordable. This is the most beautiful part of the ascent as the valley opens suddenly, dotted with beautiful well kept pastures and pastures on the edge of a dense pine forest that covers the slopes of the mountain. Finally without too much difficulty we reach the pass where there is a welcoming refuge. The first part of the descent is very steep and the road is quite narrow: after Mis come to face each other traits counterslope before Gosaldo from which attacks the easy pass of Forks Aurine from which, with a fast descent, we arrive at Agordo to conclude the race.
